Rose Hilton Certified Postpartum Doula Member DSA +1 604-733-7673
I am a mother and a grandmother who feels that I have something to offer in helping families with newborns get off to a good start. There are many reasons why I have chosen this work, one of which is my lifelong interest in anthropology, primatology, and evolutionary biology. As newborns are in a very primal state, I have found that the information that I have gathered is very relevant to my work. In addition to being keenly interested in the latest research, I also draw on techniques from traditional cultures, including tips from my own grandmother. I promote natural methods as much as possible. After all, we have been doing this for millions of years! But I am also very aware of the benefits gained by modern medicine. My job is to provide you with as much information as I have available to me to help you make informed decisions, and then to support whatever choices you make. No one knows better than you what is best for you and your family. I consider it a great privilege to be able to participate and assist in this very special time in your life.
